Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

[[legal_name]], operating as [[store_name]] at [[site]] ("we", "us" and "our"), respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies when you visit our website, create an account, place an order, subscribe to our emails or contact us.

In short: we collect only what we need to take and deliver your orders, run the store and, with your permission, understand how it is used and send you offers. We do not store your full card number. You can say no to non-essential cookies and to marketing emails at any time.

Who is responsible

[[legal_name]] o/a [[store_name]]
Privacy contact: [[email]]
Phone: [[phone]]

Our privacy contact is responsible for how we handle personal information and can answer questions about this policy.

What we collect

  • Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, phone number, and billing and delivery addresses.
  • Order details: what you bought, prices, shipping choices, and the dates of your order and delivery.
  • Payment information: payments are handled by our payment provider. We receive confirmation of payment and limited details (such as the last four digits of a card and the card type). We do not receive or store your full card number or security code.
  • Account details: your email and password (stored in protected form), saved addresses and your order history if you create an account.
  • Messages: what you send us by email, through our contact form or by phone, and our replies.
  • Marketing choices: whether you have agreed to receive marketing emails, and when.
  • Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit, what you click, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see below).

Where we get it

We collect most information directly from you. Some is collected automatically when you use our site, and some comes from the services we use (for example, payment, delivery and analytics providers).

How we use it

  • To take, process, deliver and support your orders, including contacting you about them.
  • To handle returns, refunds, warranty claims and customer service requests.
  • To run, secure and improve our website, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
  • To send you marketing emails if you have agreed to them, and to show you relevant offers, if you allow advertising cookies.
  • To measure how our website and ads perform, if you allow analytics and advertising cookies.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations and to enforce our terms.

We ask for your consent where the law requires it, and we use information only for the reasons above or for reasons that are closely related to them. We will ask you again if we want to use it for something new.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We group them into four types:

  • Essential: needed for the cart, signing in, checkout and security. These are always on.
  • Analytics: help us understand how the store is used, for example, with our store platform's analytics and Google Analytics.
  • Functional: support extra features such as videos or chat.
  • Advertising: used by Google (including Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our ads and to show you ads and offers that are more relevant to you.

We only use analytics, functional and advertising cookies if you allow them. You can change your choice at any time through our cookie settings, which are also linked at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, but some parts of the store may stop working.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only when it is needed for the purposes in this policy. We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with:

  • Our store platform and hosting provider, which runs our website and stores our order and customer records.
  • Our payment provider, to process your payment, and, if you choose it at checkout, a buy-now-pay-later provider (such as Affirm, Afterpay or Klarna). They are responsible for their own use of your information under their own privacy policies.
  • Manufacturers, suppliers and delivery carriers, who receive your name, delivery address, phone number and email so they can deliver your order, arrange delivery appointments, and handle warranty and returns.
  • Email and communication services we use to send order emails and, with your consent, our newsletter.
  • Analytics and advertising providers, such as Google and Meta, if you allow those cookies.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, such as accountants, lawyers, insurers, and law enforcement or regulators, where we have to or where the law allows.
  • A buyer of our business, if we merge with or are acquired by another company, under the same protections.

Where your information is processed

Our service providers may store or process information in Canada, the United States and other countries. Where this happens, your information can be accessed by courts, law enforcement and other authorities in those countries under their laws. We choose providers that protect personal information with contracts and security measures.

Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only if you have signed up or otherwise agreed to receive them, and each one includes a working unsubscribe link and our contact details. You can unsubscribe at any time. We will still send you messages about your account and your orders, such as order confirmations, shipping updates and returns, because they are part of the service you asked for.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to meet tax, accounting and legal requirements. Order records are usually kept for at least six years. When we no longer need information, we delete it or anonymize it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), limited access to customer records, and trusted service providers. No online system can be perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password for your account. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will tell you and the privacy regulator as the law requires.

Your choices and rights

Subject to the law, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it, and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is wrong or out of date;
  • delete your information, or stop using it for certain purposes, where we are not required to keep it;
  • withdraw a consent you gave us, for example to marketing emails or non-essential cookies.

To make a request, email [[email]]. We may need to confirm who you are first. We will answer as quickly as we can and within the time limits the law sets. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide some services.

Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact us first so that we can try to fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or to the privacy regulator in your province.

Children

Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us, and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

Our site may link to other websites, such as manufacturers. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "last updated" date, and where the changes are important, we will tell you directly.
